We're so excited to celebrate with you!

Just like the beginning of that classic song, we met at Chances R bar in San Marcos, TX in the Fall of 2017. Brittany was a new cocktail waitress and I was a new regular. After a few nights of getting to know each other, karaoke, and events with friends, we went on our first date to Patio Dolcetto...and accidentally wore matching outfits. I think we both knew quickly this was going to be something special, and it didn't take long for us to fall in love. Nowadays we plan matching outfits.

I had told Brittany way back in 2018 that when I propose I was going to do it on a boat. This may seem like I would be giving away the proposal way in advance, I mean there would be a boat she would know what was up, right? But I like a challenge. On New Year's 2020 we returned to San Marcos with all of our friends to celebrate making it through 2020, but it was all a ruse. I brought Brittany to the river running through town where string lights were set up on a see-through kayak. We took a (very) cold trip in the Kayak through the town we love and I asked her to marry me, and she said yes! Now, I know it's a kayak...but it counts.
