Traveling to Santa Margherita:

The closest airport to Santa Margherita is Genova City Airport in Genoa. From there it is about an hour drive or train ride. If you plan to stay at Imperiale Palace Hotel, they have a private car service we can put you in touch with.
The next closest airport is Milan Malpensa Airport in Milan, which is about a 2.5 hour train ride to Santa Margherita. 

The train system in Italy is easy and also fun!

We had previously stated that a visa would be required to travel to Europe as a US citizen in 2024. That is no longer the case as the EU will not require visas for US citizens till 2025. Here is a link for further context.
