We met in October of 2015, around Halloween in Santa Cruz. We met through the dating app, Tinder. Our first date was at a burger joint, with John driving us to the restaurant in his Volvo. This just happened to be a perfect ice breaker, as we quickly realized we had the same exact car. We had an immediate connection, and we both felt comfortable being ourselves (we both devoured large burgers and fries on the first date). We moved in together about 8 months later, and then adopted our dog, Freya in December 2016. We had always talked about traveling together, so an Ireland proposal was a dream come true. And here we are almost 10 years later!!
