Best Man
You usually don't keep a lot of childhood promises, but over 25 years ago Grant and I made a pact that we'd be each other's "Best Man" if and when we ever got married. I had the honor of serving him ten years ago at his wedding, and now it's his turn! I've had a lot of good friends come and go throughout my life, most of them during my time in the Air Force. I was closer to them than anyone else during those assignments, but whenever one of us was transferred it seemed like that was the end of it. But there was always Grant. We may have lived on opposite sides of the country for the better part of our adult lives, but he was always the one constant that I could count on. Grant promises to behave himself at this wedding :)
Man of Honor
When I first sat down to think of who I wanted to be by my side and help me plan my day, I didn't hesitate. I knew my brother had to be a part of my big day. I also knew that through the stress of planning and the actual day events, Dan would be the one to make me laugh and defuse any situation. Since Day 1 of his life, Daniel has been a constant reminder that I am no longer alone or the favorite child. Dan and I have grown so close in the past few years. He followed in my footsteps when it came to our choice in careers and must have missed me so much he moved to be closer to me. I am so fortunate to have a fantastic brother and friend. Be ready folks; Daniel brings all the best dance moves, you won't be able to pull him off the dance floor!
