Is there a dress code?

Welcome Party: ~ Cocktail ~ What is cocktail attire? dressy, polished, and ready to celebrate (but not too formal). Dresses can be short, midi, or long—whatever you prefer. Rompers, pants, or skirts are all great too. For the guys: no need for a full suit. A button-down or dress shirt with nice pants is perfect (blazer optional). Florals, pastels, and lighter tones are encouraged. Please keep in mind that our ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner will all take place outdoors on grass. We recommend choosing footwear that is comfortable for walking and mingling on the lawn. For Women: Floor-length gowns are preferred, with an emphasis on romantic details and flowing fabrics. Florals, pastels, silks, satins, tulle, ruffles, and soft tones are perfect for the occasion. We kindly ask that shorter styles, such as minis, sundresses, or casual day dresses, be avoided to maintain a formal garden-party feel. Lightweight suits or blazers in breathable fabrics such as linen or cotton are ideal. A crisp dress shirt is required; ties or bow ties are welcome but optional for comfort. Complete the look with dress shoes or loafers (please avoid sneakers or flip-flops). Since the festivities are outdoors, consider lighter colors and fabrics, and bring a jacket or sweater for when the ocean breeze sets in after sunset. Kindly Note: Guests are asked to refrain from wearing darker colors including, but not limited to, navy, gray, or brown, as well as black or all white. Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Hotel recommendations are listed under the “Travel” tab on our website. We also encourage sharing AirBnB or VRBO options if possible. Please book your stay as soon as you can, as Edgartown is very popular at that time of year and accommodations are limited.

Can I bring a date?
Answer
Unfortunately, due to our venue’s limited capacity, we are very restricted on space. As such, we are only able to accommodate the guests listed on the RSVP. We sincerely hope you can still be present for this important moment in our lives—we truly look forward to celebrating with you!
Question
Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?
Answer
Once the wedding winds down, we’ll meet in the lobby and stroll over to some favorite Edgartown bars for a nightcap (or two!). We’d love for you to join us and keep the good vibes going a little longer.
