John and Annie are so grateful to have found each other, and to have found new friends and family in the process. They hope you can join them and travel to sunny springtime Tennessee for love, laughter and a celebration of life!
It was cold and we were lonely before the holidays, so we each set out to find someone to get a beer with who didn't seem horrible. We immediately bonded over cancelled television, dad rock, and our irreverent sense of humor. We liked each other's brains, hearts and faces enough to keep hanging out; apparently indefinitely. We have two children, Gordon and Gwen, who are made of fur, sass and snuggles. We like complicated board games, power ballads, used books, and trying and trick each other into unwittingly looking when we're flipping the bird. It's actually all really very wholesome. Great quality and service, would get again.
We were folding laundry when John mentioned a "weird dream" he had: we were both being deployed on a dangerous space mission "that we might not come back from, so we just went ahead and got married, you know?" "...huh." A day later, after wondering if he was really suggesting we get married or not, I told him "I would, you know. Marry you." And thus we traded marriage IOUs and started planning this amazing party for everyone we love! Two years of being engaged later and we wouldn't change a thing about it. XOXO - Annie
