The city of Baltimore currently has an indoor mask mandate in effect (regardless of vaccination status) except when eating or drinking. During the indoor wedding events, guests should wear a face mask when not eating or drinking. Masks are not required when outdoors, and so will not be required during the outdoor ceremony and luncheon, though guests are of course welcome to wear face coverings then if they wish. As a reminder, all guests must be vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to attend the wedding, unless ineligible due to age or because of a known allergy to the vaccines.
The Sunday evening Reception is an adults only (18+) affair. We greatly appreciate your understanding. Children are welcome to attend both the Saturday evening Welcome Party and the Sunday morning Ceremony. Please let us know of any childcare concerns and we will work with you to find a solution!
We highly encourage guests flying in for the wedding to fly into the BWI Marshall Airport. BWI is a quick 20 minute cab ride or uber/lyft to the Four Seasons and neighboring hotels. It is also feasible to fly into the Washington, DC area airports (DCA or IAD), but they are over a 1 hour drive to the venue in Baltimore, and travel time can vary significantly depending on traffic.
Paid parking will be available for all wedding guests arriving by car at the Four Seasons hotel or the Marriott Waterfront hotel next door. Valet is also available. We do not recommend public street parking as it is limited and not a long-term option.
The Saturday evening Welcome Party is at Barcocina, a waterfront restaurant in the neighboring Fells Point district. Barcocina is a pleasant 12 minute walk (0.6 miles) from the Four Seasons hotel. We have arranged a Lyft code to transport guests who do not wish to walk (code: DASGOL21). Please download the Lyft app in advance to use this service! We are no longer providing shuttles to allow guests the flexibility and distancing needed to get to the event. If you are driving, parking near Barcocina will be street-only and it can be difficult. You may consider parking at the hotel and walking or using Uber/Lyft.
We encourage you to wear Indian or any other type of clothing you feel comfortable in! We expect there will be a healthy mix of both. For further detail on Indian wedding attire, the following site has some general guidance - but again, above all, wear what you are comfortable and excited to be in! https://www.theknot.com/content/what-to-wear-indian-wedding
Please don't hesitate to reach out to John or Amrita for any remaining questions or concerns.
