Ann and Alexis first got to know each other when they were in the same lab group in 7th grade science and they bonded as Ann taught Alexis the art of aerodynamic walking on the way home from school. Over the last 20+ years they've enjoyed sleepovers, movies, ultimate Frisbee, Santa pictures, jelly donuts, and multiple trips, including climbing Kilimanjaro. Through it all, Ann has always been one of Alexis' closest, funniest, and most incredibly selfless friends. Now, if only she could get her to move back to Minneapolis...
Garrett Schreiner
Best Man
Garrett and John were randomly matched as roommates freshman year at Iowa State. They later discovered that they both had the same email password and have been friends ever since.
Vicki Tuen-Behm

Vicki and Alexis also met in 7th grade and they have been such a huge part of each other's lives since then! They bonded through junior high poms, band camp, baseball games, school dances, cruisin' in the Jetta, pool days and boy drama. For college, they both proudly went to UW-Madison and even lived together for a semester. More recently, their time together often involves great food, live music, and family celebrations. Alexis admires Vicki's fierce commitment to her family and considers herself fortunate to be a part of it.

Luke and John have been friends since high school. Luke lives in San Francisco now, but is easily the person that John texts the most, Alexis not excluded. Special thanks to Luke for hosting his wedding in such a beautiful country to propose in.
Janet Johnson

Janet has made Alexis feel like a welcome part of the family from the day they met at Bradley's 2nd birthday. They've continued to grow closer through double date nights, dress shopping, and wedding planning. In fact, Janet may have literally grown an inch to bring the two closer in height. Gaining a sister like Janet by marrying John is pretty much like getting the best BOGO ever.

Chase became a part of the family almost seven years ago when he married John's sister. Chase is a great brother-in-law to John and a fantastic father to John's niece and nephew.
Kari Newton
Bridesmaid
Kari and Alexis' friendship first began over 30 years ago(!) riding bikes together in Thompson Ct. It was solidified through Barbies, coloring, yard games, Nintendo, creating our own fashion "magazine," and chasing "ducks." The friendship survived Kari's move to Georgia in 1998 and grew even stronger with the arrival of her amazing daughter, Scarlet, in 2004. Though they no longer get to see each other daily like when they were neighbors, when they do get together you can count on it being epic, yet as if they've never been apart.
Kate Iverson

Kate and Alexis met just 11 short years ago when they were both new to Minneapolis and spent many a wild night out downtown. Alexis is quite proud to have introduced Kate to Jeremy, who is now Kate's husband, as the two of them have become one of John and Alexis' favorite couples. As a skilled photographer, Kate has a lot of experience with weddings. She also happens to be one of the sweetest, most caring and encouraging people Alexis knows, making Kate the perfect choice to have by her side on the big day.
