Two spontaneous weekend trips to Murrells Inlet, SC and one night of sparks flying on the waterfront patio of The Love Shak later, Our Story began. We exchanged contact information and a first date took place two weeks later over coffee. A whiskey tasting in downtown Raleigh followed shortly after, and we both knew this was going to be something big. That summer of 2016, we fell into a whirlwind romance. Fast forward to the summer of 2018, we celebrated Zachary graduating the Special Forces Qualification Course at Fort Bragg and becoming a Green Beret-- an incredible commitment to serving his country. That wasn’t the only commitment on his mind. A surprise proposal that winter in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina secured our commitment to one another. We both knew right then that no matter how many miles were between us or however many days we had to be apart, we wanted to be together for the rest of our lives. Over the course of five years— we’ve conquered long distance dating, endured months apart due to military exercises, moved to a different state away from the comforts of friends and family, bought our first home, welcomed our sweet German Shepherd puppy (Remi) into our family, and we couldn’t be more in love. We look forward to celebrating our love with all of you this winter!
