FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP on our website by Saturday August 16th.

Question

Will there be transportation to the venue?

Answer

Yes! We will have a shuttle (school bus) that will be picking guest up in Williston. Time is TBD depending on how many guests sign up and how many shuttles we need to rent. We will reach out to you once we finalize details.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, absolutely! Please reach out to us directly or leave a comment when selecting your dinner option.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes, they are listed under the travel page on our website. Feel free to reach out to John or Melissa if you have any questions or need help with booking.

Question

How far is the venue from the hotels?

Answer

All of the hotels that we have room blocks at are roughly 20 minutes away from the venue.

Question

Weather

Answer

Our wedding will be taking place outdoors and the reception will be indoors. Please plan accordingly as you will not have access to inside the reception area until the start of the reception. New England falls are warm during the day and cool at night, so we recommend a light wrap to cover bare shoulders.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We are not allowing additional plus-ones to our wedding, as we'd like to keep the guests list just to those who know us well.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, upon pulling in you will see signs and someone to direct you where to park. You are able to drop off at the door and then park your car. Once you arrive, you'll see signs directing you to the back of the venue where the ceremony will take place. There's a small grass hill you must descend to access the ceremony space.

Question

Is it okay to post on social media about your wedding or pictures?

Answer

We please ask that you respect our wish of allowing us to have the opportunity to make the announcement that we are now husband and wife. As many of you know we did not make a public announcement of our engagement and we would like to be the first to share our exciting news! Please respect our privacy and don't share photos of our wedding on social media, as we'd like to make a formal wedding announcement with our professional images.

Question

Is your wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our afternoon ceremony will be outdoors, while cocktail hour will be held outside on a covered patio and the reception will take place indoors. Guests will have to walk down a small grass hill to the ceremony. For that reason, stiletto or otherwise-thin heels are not recommended. If raining, the ceremony will be held outside on the covered patio with cocktail hour to follow.

Question

Where should we bring or send our gifts?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to honor us with a gift, you can have it delivered to our home at 301 Autumn Pond Way, Essex Junction, VT 05452. A wedding card box will be at our reception.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend arriving at the ceremony venue at least 30 minutes ahead of the ceremony start time to ensure you have enough time to park, walk to the ceremony space and find a seat. The doors to the venue will not open until the time of our reception. The ceremony and cocktail hour take place outdoors.

Question

Can you suggest places to eat, drink and see while I'm in town?

Answer

Check out the "Things to Do" and “Places to eat” sections to see some of our favorite spots to eat, drink and explore in our city.

Question

Am I allowed to take pictures or videos at your wedding?

Answer

We kindly ask that you keep our wedding "unplugged" and refrain from taking any photos or videos at our wedding. We want our guests to truly be in the moment with us during this special day.

Question

What type of food will be served during cocktail hour and dinner?

Answer

We'll be serving light passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, followed by a plated dinner. You will select your dinner upon RSVPing.
