HOW WE MET (Kelly’s version) We met in college at the University of Kentucky around 2008. Sharing the same major, several classes, and multiple group projects together, we got to know each other well but didn't really socialize outside of that. Years later (Covid times), a late night Facebook message turned into FaceTime calls that lasted for hours or until the same came up. When the world opened back up in 2021, we finally reconnected in person and have been together ever since. In January 2024 (along with the best 13 year-old Shih Tzu, Buddy), I moved from Louisville back to Lexington into JM’s house that he purchased a year prior. JM especially LOVES all of the new home projects I brought with me, just ask him lol. ⸻ THE PROPOSAL The proposal happened on vacation in Miramar Beach, Florida. August 10 2025. Fun fact, turns out it was the same day (same hour actually) that Taylor and Travis were getting engaged! JM planned to ask on the golf course with a custom flag on hole 14 that read: “FOREver starts now… Will you marry me?” He had it all planned with the clubhouse before we even left for vacay. I did throw a slight wrench in the plan when I rescheduled the tee time and forgot to mention it to JM until a bit later (oops). His plan still worked perfectly. He had asked the group of ladies ahead of us to record it while I was away at the turn and they did amazing. Definitely wasn't expecting it on the golf course, it was perfect. I’m SO excited to marry him!
