너를 만난 그 이후로 사소한 변화들에 행복해져... Everything began in December 2019, after an interview at the clinic that John was working for. With the help of God, I was able to get the position, not knowing that there I would meet my future Husband. I was told that someone would help train me... and guess who that was?... Yes! It was John. He was soon to enter the military and was moving to the base in Savanna, GA. During my training time, we were able to get to know each other a little. After some time, John nervously asked me out on our first date. The date was a little awkward at the beginning because we were both really shy, but I remember we got really joyful when we learned that we share the same faith. This was something we were looking for in a partner or someone that we wanted to start a relationship with. When it was time for him to move to the military base, we thought it would be easy to keep in touch; however, it wasn't, so we just texted each other from time to time After nine-ish months of occasionally texting, in December 2020, John texted me and told me that he was visiting for the weekend and invited me to have coffee with him. It was interesting how we were able to reconnect again and not feel awkward with each other regardless of the time that passed. It didn't take long after that, and on January 9, 2021, during one of our FaceTime calls, John asked me to be his girlfriend. Months passed by, and our story continued, we were growing and learning from each other while trying to keep God at the center of our relationship. After some time, we began having conversations about marriage; that we thought weren't going to happen any time soon because John was being stationed in South Korea for a year. However, John managed to contact my parents, who at the time were in North Carolina, and ask them to come to Georgia because he knew I would love to share that special moment with them. And on October 29, 2022, just two days after my birthday, John got down on one knee and, in front of my family, he asked me "Te Quieres Casar Conmigo?", (In Spanish!!). Now... We're so Excited for you to join us as we say "I DO" at our wedding in September of 2023. See you soon! Romans 12: 9-10
