Check out Wallace Falls if you’re interested in doing a moderate hike and seeing a few waterfalls while you’re in town! This is only 8 minutes from the venue location.
Located 14 minutes from May Creek Farms (the venue), this is one of Haley’s favorite places to grab a coffee while heading out for a hike or over to Stevens Pass for skiing. It has a fun sasquatch theme with a great view of Mount Index and Bridal Veil Falls behind it!
If you have time and are looking for a more challenging hike, bridal veil falls and lake serene is a combo hike with amazing views and is one of Haley's favorite hikes. It is only 14 minutes from the venue and includes challenging switchbacks over 7.6 miles with 2,723 ft of elevation gain. Plan to take about 5 hours to complete this gorgeous hike! If you only want to see bridal veil and don't want to hike all of the way to the lake, it follows the same trail and is rated as a moderate hike over 4.3 miles with 1,066 ft of elevation gain.
Leavenworth is a fun Bavarian town located just 60 minutes east of May Creek Farms. They have great pretzels, sausages, and German beer! It is absolutely worth the drive or even worth staying overnight if you are visiting Washington for a few days!
One of John and Haley’s favorite places for brunch! This place is located about an hour from our venue and nearby a popular hike called Rattlesnake Ridge (5.3 miles with 1,430 ft elevation gain). Most people hike Rattlesnake early and go to South Fork after! Both of these options can become very busy especially in the summer!
If you are in the Seattle area and want to head over to the west Seattle area, this is one of John and Haley’s favorite places for a date night! Harry’s is an awesome restaurant along Alki beach with great food and craft cocktails.
