Maid of Honor
Faith's Maid of Honor and the former Executive Producer of the Legendary Talk Show, "In Faith's Jacuzzi" [circa 2002], Meghan has stood by Faith's side for 26 years. Meghan's keen eye for design and willingness to lead the Charlottesville wedding reception advance team for this Cambridge-based bride are just two of her many endearing qualities. Faith and John have loved visiting Meg in Charlottesville - taking on new adventures and sharing some of their favorite spots!
Best Man
Greg and John have been best friends since September 24, 1992. The most memorable moments since then include a 7th-grade physics project building a ~15’ tall catapult, a post-UVA road trip across the country to several national parks, and too many unfortunate fall afternoons spent watching Virginia Tech beat UVA (until this year!). Best man was an easy pick for John, and he couldn’t imagine anyone else standing next to him on the big day!
Maid of Honor
Sometimes having one Maid of Honor isn't enough, especially when your younger sister is Jane! Wise beyond her years, in some ways, Jane has been Faith's "older" sister for 19 years! Counselor, advocate and a veritable human global positioning system/co-pilot when Faith was learning to drive, Jane was always a willing cohort, especially when the trips involved a visit to Sweet Lucy's for a late night ice cream cone! As a first year Wahoo, Jane has ensured even more reasons for Faith and John to continue their regular treks to Charlottesville.
Groomsman
Dan serves on the Jefferson Scholars Foundation and met John when he applied for a scholarship. They quickly became friends and over the years, Dan’s taught John how to properly make a mixed drink, the correct order for using shampoo and conditioner, and everything about the work in real estate that they now do together. John often jokes that he sees Dan “eight days a week,” and wouldn’t have it any other way!
Bridesmaid
Faith was thrilled to welcome Catherine to the sisterhood this past January at her Charlottesville wedding to older brother Garrett! Although they did not know each other at UVA, Faith remembers Catherine as the Honor Committee's "best ever Pre-Trial Coordinator." Several years later, they met formally when Catherine was on Garrett's arm at a UVA basketball game. Since then, they have shared many memories in Charlottesville, D.C. and beyond, usually fortified by queso dip and a pitcher of Margaritas! Catherine's well-earned reputation as wedding planner extraordinaire has been an added bonus, and Faith is so thankful for her amazing advice.

John remembers Garrett from John’s first year at college -- Garrett had a job offer, lawn room, and a TV with Phillies games on, which was all that John could hope to achieve in life. Couldn’t have guessed then that they’d be brothers-in-laws, with many more Phillies games to watch in the future!
Bridesmaid
Faith is the younger sister that Becky always hoped John would be when Judy was expecting. They share a love for dogs, baked goods, and morning biscuits at the farm. Becky now works at Virginia Tech, where John and Faith are excited to visit despite the number of Hokies...

John and Patrick met at a weekend in Delaware and spent hours enjoying croissants and talking real estate at Brew HaHa. Patrick’s lacrosse games are the only times John agrees to wear UNC Carolina Blue and according to Patrick and John, they’re both extraordinary golfers.

Friends for the past ~5 years, Faith and Garland met during Faith’s first internship in Atlanta. After a few years of being Will (her husband) and Garland’s favorite third wheel, John completed the double-date dinner-party crew. Now in her final year of med school and first year of marriage, Garland has become Faith’s long-distance physician and wedding planning guru.
Groomsman
In high school, Reed was John’s “senior buddy,” tasked with making sure John was handling the transition to Central VA Governor’s School. Eight years later, he helped make sure Faith handled the transition to Harvard Business School. Along the way, he’s been a source of sage wisdom, Diet Coke, and leftover Chinese food. In May, 2019, John officiated the wedding ceremony for Reed and his wife, Shaina, in what was one of the greatest honors of his life.
Bridesmaid
Faith’s sorority “little sister,” Faith and Maeve first met over frozen yogurt at UVA. Neither could have guessed that two, topping-filled yogurt cups would lead to five years of Charlottesville and Atlanta visits, a shared interest in social enterprise, and a proclivity for signing up for far too many activities. Maeve currently resides in Scotland pursuing a Ph.D. in some incredibly impressive discipline and is one of the most interesting people you might have the pleasure to meet at the wedding!
Groomsman
Over the last two years of high school, Benton and John spent far more time golfing and skiing than studying. During college, they enjoyed three weeks traveling across Spain and Italy on an unforgettable trip. If you get a chance, ask Benton about his high school yoga experiences with John, and his irrational fear of Australians.
Bridesmaid
Faith’s sorority “big sister,” Paige has been a shoulder to laugh and cry on, source of artistic inspiration, and purveyor of gold frames for wedding decorations. Collegiate cookie dough pie and date functions have transitioned into Eastern Market crepes and Capitol Hill dinner parties. Paige now lives ~6 blocks away and is a steady supply of soup and HGTV for John and Faith.
Groomsman
Since meeting while youngsters at UVA, Will and John have always lived a couple of blocks from each other. Now workout partners and Sunday-night-football-and-popcorn addicts, they also share a particularly gripping story involving a 200’ waterfall, a hefty boulder, an acute understanding of gravity, and an appreciation for luck.
Bridesmaid
Friends at UVA and roommates in Atlanta, Faith and Heather go together like Sunday nights and bad reality television. Heather is a constant source of Saturday-morning-FaceTime humor and Faith is the proud god-aunt of Sweet Pea, Heather’s terrier mix, who is a true rags-to-riches story.
Groomsman
Kristof, the First Mate (emeritus) of the beloved houseboat, lived aboard with John for three wonderful months in the below-deck second bedroom in 2016. When not co-captaining the wildly successful DC softball team, he’s busy managing rooftop farms across the city.
Bridesmaid
Faith’s first friend at UVA, Emily is a constant source of positivity, shareable appetizers, and Southern charm. Now both living in DC, Emily and Faith enjoy double-dates with Will and John, jointly strategize on wedding planning, and reminisce about their Tuesday breakfasts in college.
Groomsman
Friends for the last ~5 years in Washington, DC, Luke and John share a passion for commercial real estate, Birddogs shorts, and short-sleeve button up shirts. When not busy curating a Hydroflask collection, Luke enjoys growing out mustaches for weddings.
Bridesmaid
Despite once almost burning down Faith’s lawn room, Layne has remained a close friend and now lives in DC! The only thing better than seeing Layne when she hosts board game afternoons and Christmas cookie parties, is seeing Nala, her amazing golden retriever. Layne was also the first person to introduce Faith to Castle Hill Cidery, the wedding reception venue!
Groomsman
Locher and John met at UVA and have been together ever since, until Locher’s recent move to the wild, wild west. They’ve had weekend trips to Roanoke for Easter, St. Michaels, MD in summer, and Kentucky to explore the bourbon trail. John and Faith will offer an extra slice of cake to anyone who falls madly in love with Locher at their wedding and convinces him to move back to DC.
Groomsman
Friends from UVA, Adam and John have spent the last several years coordinating annual trips - San Francisco, Germany, Canada, and Austria. If you get a chance, ask Adam about golden eagle hunting and try to get invited to his next themed dinner party.
