We met online on Ok Cupid. Dating sites weren't really my thing but I decided to give it a shot. I received a match from a guy named John. He messaged me saying he had checked out my profile and thought we would would be a good match and that he was interested in us having a conversation. What was different about John that stood out to me was that he was very respectful, attractive, and he was kind. Dating sites are not for the faint of heart lol people say crazy things on there and he wasn't like that at all. We briefly messaged online and shortly after exchanged numbers. We talked for about a month before we had our first date.

We had our first date at Red Robin. I couldn't believe I met a man on a dating site and I was about to meet him for the first time. I was so nervous. I had all the feels, the butterflies in my stomach, the anxiety, fear of what if this whole date goes left and I realize he's crazy lol. Thendate was hilarious because he barely talked. I had never met anyone more quiet and reserved than me (it was a fake out yall lol he is not quiet or reserved). After our date I was completely unsure if this was going to work out. He will tell you that I tried to friend zone him because I did lol, but I say all the time I'm glad that I didn't because I would've missed out on an amazing man.

It was March 7, 2019 and John text me to ask if I wanted Five Guys for dinner. I got home from work and there was a gift on the table for me because my birthday was in a couple days on March 13, 2019. There was another gift of make up he ordered for me. I walk towards the closed bedroom door and there was a trail of rose petals to the bed with another big gift bag. I come out of the bedroom and he's one knee. I didn't think anything of it because its a random day of the week and I was just suppose to be coming home to get Five Guys lol. He starts saying how much he loves me and that he wanted to do this before for our trip to Chicago. I turned to smell my favorite lemon candle he had lit and when I turned back to him the ring box was open and he said "will you marry me?"
