Sapphire Beach Resort & Marina

Our ceremony and reception will take place at Sapphire Beach Resort; the ceremony will be on the beach, and the reception will be a 2 minute walk away at the on-premises waterfront restaurant SeaSalt. While there won't be any "official" events prior to Friday evening's welcome party, we will be arriving on Wednesday, April 23rd, and would love for you to join us on the island as early as you are able to for some extra fun in the sun! Sapphire Beach Resort is a bit of a misnomer; the "resort" actually consists of several waterfront condominium buildings, with individually owned units rented through Airbnb, VRBO, etc. We have taken the liberty of compiling a list of rentals with great ratings at a variety of price points, which you can find at the link below. There are more than enough rental units available for everyone to stay with us at the resort, and one of the things we are looking forward to most is the chance to spend some unforgettable quality time with all of our closest friends and family in the days leading up to the main event. However, if it is your preference to stay elsewhere, there are plenty of great alternative lodging options nearby on the East End of the island (we have included some recommendations in the link as well).

Flying to St. Thomas

St. Thomas has one major airport, Cyril E. King Airport (STT). Many cities offer daily direct flights to STT, but the majority of these do not have more than 1-2 options each day. Given the limited options for direct travel, we recommend booking your flights as early as possible. We really appreciate your willingness to travel and celebrate with us! St. Thomas is part of the US Virgin Islands; US citizens do not need a passport to enter. There is no Uber/Lyft service on the island, but there are plenty of taxi services. In our experience, these sometimes have reasonable prices, and sometimes become quite expensive. Depending on the duration of your trip and the extent to which you plan to explore the island during your stay, we recommend considering renting a car—it is potentially the more cost-efficient option!

For direct flights, there are three daily options from New York to STT: (1) American: 7:40am-11:35am (3hr 55min, from JFK) (2) Delta: 8:35am-12:40pm (4hr 5min, from JFK) (3) United: 9:10am-1:17pm (4hr 7min, from EWR)

There are several additional options with a single layover, some of which include: (1) Delta flights through Atlanta (ATL). There are two daily flights from ATL to STT, one from 9:53am-1:34pm and another from 11:20am-3:01pm (both 3hr 41min). There are several daily morning flights from NYC airports to ATL. (2) American flights through Charlotte (CLT). There are two daily flights from CLT to STT, one from 9:05am-12:40pm and another from 11:05am-2:40pm (both 3hr 35min). There are several daily morning flights from NYC to CLT. (3) American flights through Miami (MIA). There are two daily flights from MIA to STT, one from 10:05am-12:55pm (2h 50min) and another from 1:40pm-4:20pm (2hr 40min). There is a 6:00am flight from LGA and a 6:05am flight from EWR that can connect to the 10:05am from MIA, and a 9:01am flight from LGA that can connect to the 1:40pm from MIA. (4) one United flight through Dulles (IAD) from 8:15am-12:17pm (4hr 2min). There is a 6:00am flight from EWR and a 6:05am flight from LGA that can connect to this 8:15am from IAD. (5) JetBlue flights through San Juan (SJU). There are three daily flights from NYC to SJU, one from 5:01am-8:51am (3h 50min, JFK), another from 7:20am-11:15am (3hr 55min, EWR), and a third from 8:35am-12:37pm (4hr 2min, JFK). Then, there are several daily Cape Air flights from SJU to STT. There are additional options, but we make these recommendations after optimizing for travel duration and price. Unfortunately, there aren't any direct flights from PIT. There are several options with 1 stop (on Delta, United, and American), all of which go through the various connections listed above for travel from NYC. Again, please reach out if you need any help coordinating travel!
