Joshua Tree National Park Are you interested in climbing cool rocks? Stargazing? Unique ecosystems? Horseback riding? Joshua Tree is one of the most gorgeous and other-worldly National Parks in the US. It's very big so occasionally traffic can be a problem at the entrance. Make sure you have enough time & gas before entering. La Copine A lovely restaurant featured in The New York Times, Vogue, and Eaters' 38 "Must Eat Restaurants" in California. Making a reservation ahead of time isn't required but might not be a bad idea. Pappy + Harriet's in Pioneertown A fantastic saloon themed restaurant and music venue located in Pioneertown, a small community that used serve as a shooting location for western films The Integratron This High Desert landmark is for UFO and new age healing enthusiasts. Make sure to make reservations ahead of time to visit and do a "rejuvenating sound bath" if that's your thing

Los Angeles County Museum of Art The museum we visit the most. Always something new, interesting, and exciting being shown at LACMA. Right next to the La Brea Tar Pits, Peterson, and Academy Museums The Getty Center Even if you're not big into art you will enjoy several Monets and a Van Gogh, among other classics. You can also get a glass of wine while enjoying a spectacular view of Los Angeles and the ocean The Broad They've got all the hits, more Lichtensteins and Warhols in one museum than you've ever seen before, and all in a great setting The Peterson If you love cars this is the ultimate car museum The Academy Museum Filled to the brim with movie history. You'll see props from all your favorite movies and learn about other films and directors you may not be familiar with. They also have two state of the art theaters on site. Grand Central Market A food market in the middle of downtown Los Angeles with a slew of varied options. A great place to go if you're having trouble deciding what to eat: you can let the smells and sights guide you when you get there Creature Comforts Los Angeles Yes, we have Creature too now. Yes, they already know us by name. We had our second date at the Athens location Huntington Gardens Gorgeous and historical botanical gardens in Pasadena. Their Chinese and Japanese gardens are spectacular Hollyhock House A Frank Lloyd Wright house that's open to the public. Its also a nice place to have a picnic and watch sunset over the city The Silver Lake Reservoir & Meadows One of our favorite places to walk around.
