Lake Geneva is a tourist town with a website & app for activity/food/shopping ideas :)
It's family tradition to drive through the Grand Geneva light show while singing the 12 Days of Christmas, and visit the second floor of the main building to judge the ongoing gingerbread house contest.
If you're looking for food Friday night, Hawk's View has the best Friday Night Fish Fry (a Wisconsin tradition) in the area.
There are LOTS of fun shops on Main Street and its side streets. This mini mall in particular has an artisans market (Queen Bee), galleries, a wine shop with free tasting, and a soap store with make your own soap projects.
The historic Maxwell Mansion hotel has two bars, the Apothecary Lounge & the Speakeasy. The Speakeasy was an actual prohibition-era bar. It is unlabeled, so look for a black door to the right of the mansion's main entrance. Entrance to the Speakeasy requires a password from the Maxwell Mansion Facebook page. There is often live entertainment like a jazz pianist in addition to their fun vibe. Fun Fact: The Maxwell Mansion is where Andy & Kate (Katie's oldest bro & sis in law) got married... also in December after being legally married elsewhere... a new family tradition of sorts
Pick your own combination of scents from their scent wall, and make a candle, wax melts, or a diffuser.
Our favorite spa in the area <3 located in the Abbey Resort complex
Our second favorite spa in the area is the WELL Spa in the Grand Geneva resort complex. Fun fact: Katie worked here in high school.
If you want to eat yummy food along the lake & pretend you own a boat
