John & Allie met on their first day of Radiology school at Triton College in August 2010. John likes to say it was love at first sight when Allie first walked through the door. She also noticed him, sitting in the back row with his black backwards hat on and decided to sit two chairs over. They sat in the same row for the entire first year of school, did group projects together, and barely spoke to each other! Instead, they would communicate through other classmates. John asked his friends in class to find out if she was single! At the time, she was not... Fast forward a few years, Allie was out celebrating St. Patrick's Day with her friends and John was scrolling (stalking) her Facebook pictures she posted that day. He was drinking with his friend after just returning from Afghanistan, when he worked up the (liquid) courage to message her on Facebook. Our First Date was March 25th, 2014 with our second date following just two days after, celebrating John's Birthday!

We went on a weekend getaway to Houston, TX for St. Patrick's Day weekend. Allie thought they were just getting margaritas and meeting up with John's friend to explore Houston on a beautiful afternoon. John said he wanted to see the man made waterfall at the Galleria downtown and Allie was all for it! Little did she know when they got there, John got down on one knee and asked her to marry him! He even hired a photographer to capture it all!
