Question

What does formal attire mean?

Answer

For our celebration, we request guests to dress in formal attire. For men, this means dark well-tailored suits paired with a dress shirt and tie or bow tie. For women, this means midi- to floor-length dresses.

Do I need to rent a car?

Answer

This is entirely up to you! All wedding day events will take place on-site, and the Inn at the Mission is within walking distance of restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and shopping. The only off-site event is our optional Welcome Party in Laguna Beach, ~15-20 minutes away. Ubers/Lyfts are readily available throughout the area, and parking/valet is available for those who choose to rent a car. If you're flying into John Wayne Airport (SNA), you shouldn't need a rental car. The venue is only ~15-20 minute away. If you're flying into LAX, renting a car is up to you. Rideshare and car services are available, but travel time and cost can vary significantly depending on traffic. Without traffic, the drive is about 60 miles and takes ~1 hour. If you're flying into SAN, San Juan Capistrano is ~1.5-hour drive away (also traffic dependent). There is also a direct Pacific Surfliner train from San Diego to San Juan Capistrano for those who prefer not to drive. Guests who plan to explore Orange County, visit nearby beaches, or extend their stay may find a rental car helpful, but it is not necessary for attending the wedding festivities.

Due to limited space, we’re only able to accommodate the guests listed on your invitation.

We adore your little ones, but our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. We thank you for making arrangements in advance.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony begins promptly at 2:00 PM, so we kindly ask guests to arrive by 1:45 PM to ensure everyone is seated on time.

What should I do between the ceremony and cocktail hour?

Answer

We recommend taking a little time to quench your thirst and explore the area! You can grab a drink or small bite at any of the great local restaurants and bars listed on the "Things To Do" tab of your event details. Everything in SJC is close and walkable (even in heels)!

Are the wedding day events indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Cocktail hour and dinner will be held outdoors. The ceremony and dancing will be indoors.

What is the weather like in September in Southern California?

Answer

September is one of our favorite months for the weather - it is typically warm, dry, and sunny. You can expect daytime highs in the low 80s and evening lows in the mid 60s.
