Johanna & Indy met on Lake Oconee summer of 2018 through a mutual friend's gathering. After hitting it off that evening, the two stayed in touch and continued to spend time together that summer right before Johanna finished her last year at the University of Georgia and Indy began working in Atlanta. In July of 2018, Indy invited Johanna to the beach with his family where he would ask her to be his girlfriend on an evening walk along the beach.

August of 2022, Johanna and Indy would spend the best week in Italy with some of their closest friends on vacation. After traveling through Rome and Florence, the last few days were spent in Venice. This is where Indy would propose to Johanna on an evening walk through the alley ways and onto one special bridge; “Ponte Dei Fuseri”, 45°26'4"N 12°20'7"E. The name simply translates to “Bridge of Fusion”. By mere coincidence, the name of this bridge could be nothing closer to the truth as Johanna and Indy chose each other for life.
