Gavin and I began working in the pediatric cardiovascular ICU in the summer of 2024 after both moving to Rochester to start our new graduate nursing jobs. I noticed Gavin fairly early on during orientation, though we had little to no interaction at first. Eventually, I decided to take matters into my own hands and invited a group of new grads—including Gavin—to play pickle ball. I sent him a text, and he continued the conversation. From that point on, we never stopped talking. Our shared faith and love for Jesus quickly became the foundation of our relationship. We dated for a little under a year and got engaged in Kansas City. We were blessed to be able to have our closest family there to celebrate with us. Gavin and I are so excited to start this chapter of our life together and are grateful to be surrounded by very special people (all of you!). We’d be so thankful for your prayers as we walk through this season of life, and we can’t wait to celebrate with our favorite people!
