It all started with a little anole lizard that we identified together during our very first date at Duke Pond

What followed was a wonderful romance in North Carolina, where we took trips to the Outer Banks...

...Explored Duke Gardens...

...Watched the Bucks win the NBA Finals...

...visited DC...

...and celebrated Alex's graduation from law school!

Things were pretty sweet...

...and we were basically inseparable!

Then, Alex got a job in London, England! Thus commenced two and a half years of long distance

Facetiming wasn't the same as being in-person, but we still had fun and plenty of laughs :)

We made the most of our time together, spending Christmas in London...

...Enjoying Notting Hill...

...And lots of long winter walks!

We also took advantage of proximity to Europe and took some wonderful trips together!

Finally, in December 2023, after seven months of not seeing each other in-person, Alex moved back to America!

Since then it's been a wonderful experience building our home together and spending time with each of our families & family dogs

Alex fortunately has Rainbow's sisterly approval

Johanna has Huey's approval too!

It feels good to put down roots here!

In Summer 2024, Alex planned the perfect proposal in a rose garden near our home in Arlington.
