Joey and Charlotte met while working at Milliken's Reef in Port Canaveral together. Their first date took place on Joey's birthday (4/27/12) in Cocoa Village. It was only one month later that they moved in together, and their whirlwind romance began.

After almost 5 years and many challenges, a lot of growing and maturing, Joey decided it was the right time to propose. One Christmas Eve at Glenn LoSasso's house, in front of the tree, surrounded by all of Charlotte's family, Joey got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.
