On Thanksgiving in 2020, Lauren and Austen Ward told Joeylyn that they wanted to set her up with one of their single friends. Joeylyn knew Lauren as being her Brother in laws, Jesse’s little sister and Austen as Laurens Fiance - to then grow a greater friendship with them both. Lauren and Austen were holding an engagement party the following weekend and Joeylyn was bartending. Later that evening, Joeylyn, as one single gal in 2020 does, was scrolling through Hinge, when she matched with a guy named Ryan. They hit it off immediately and that week they had their first date at Solitas in HB for Taco Tuesday. After the date Ryan asked Joeylyn how she knew Lauren and Austen since they were mutual friends on Instagram. Joeylyn explained the relationship and shared that she was actually bartending their engagement party that weekend, in which Ryan was attending. Joeylyn then finally realized that Ryan was the guy that Lauren and Austen wanted to initially set her up with and immediately snapped a photo to send to them. Her intution was correct, and Ryan was the same guy they were looking to set her up with. That following weekend, Joeylyn bartended their engagement party, with Ryan in attendance, and the rest is history.
