Travel Note
The beauty of Oia is unsurpassed. In fact, it is almost impossible to describe in words. Small white houses tier the hillside, interspersed by splashes of rich okra, deep fuchsia, cobalt blue, oyster pink and earthy red. Smooth winding paths interconnect, interrupted now and then by a small church, and at every corner there is something new to discover. Definetely one of the most traditional and picturesque villages in Santorini. Oia can be crowded during the day, many cruise ships visit the island every day, and most day travelers tend to congregate in Oia and Fira. Oia is best explored early in the morning, or post sunset - which is simply unreal!
Travel Note
Fira is the capital of Santorini. It can be found on the west coast of the island, on the caldera cliffs. Modern day Fira is the cultural and commercial center of the Santorini. Although geared around the tourist industry, perhaps more so than other areas on the island, there is much about Fira worth taking a look at. Apart from the museums, galleries and cultural events, it has the island's largest shopping center and the biggest choice of dining out and entertainment. Fira heads the nightlife section - many bars and cafes are actually on the caldera, whilst others, as well as the large clubs, are tucked into the quaint cobbled streets weaving through the town. The hustle and bustle of this center during the day will leave you yearning for a pool away from the crowds. Fira is an affordable option for those looking for Caldera View rooms.
Travel Note
You can find Imerovigli by taking the road going towards Oia. It is the next village after Fira/Firostefani on the famous Santorini caldera. Its position at the highest, most central part of the caldera gave it visual command of the whole area. A phenomenal option for those looking for amazing sunsets, little crowds, and that famous Santorini architecture.
Travel Note
In Medieval times, Akrotiri was one of the 5 fortified settlements on the island. Akrotiri is a village of great interest on the south west coast of Santorini. Apart from having some of the best views on the island which reach as far as Oia, magnificent sunsets, wonderful fish taverns, quiet undeveloped beaches, and tiny churches, it is also home to two of Santorini's jewels, the Akrotiri Excavations and Akrotiri Castle. There are fantastic hotel options close to our villa, the location is more remote than other villages, but still just a short taxi ride anywhere. A car may be useful if you plan to explore the island multiple times.

House Or Rental
2bed villa in Oia, located on the steps to Amoudi Bay. This may be our favorite place to stay in Santorini. The location is unlike anything else. This is where we plan to hold our welcome sunset cocktails event on June 15th. Will book up fast, currently available starting on June 16th. This will require a 30min drive to our villa, but I promise will be worth it. It does require you to walk down several steps, not ideal who those traveling with kids.
Hotel
Excellent value for money, comfortable rooms, pool, and nearby location. Akrotiri is a more remote part of the island, so a car could be useful if staying here. No caldera view. The hotel owner provided a discounted rate of $80 Euros for double rooms, and $90 Euros for superior rooms (per day) for booking directly with him, feel free to contact Kosta vmathios@otenet.gr.
