Hotel
Once we arrive at the island we will need to check in to the destination you will be lodging at. The hotel that we will be staying at is Privilege Aluxes. It is a conveniently located resort that comes highly recommended, is absolutely beautiful, and is located right off the beach! The hotel does provide an all-inclusive package which you may choose to purchase. However, we do not recommend it as we will be enjoying all of the wonderful local restaurants and mom and pop shops around the island! A standard room for 2 is $125 USD per night via our discount code. You are free to look outside of Privilege Aluxes for a cheaper stay but please contact me ahead of time if you wish to do so. Please note, if you do look outside of Privilege Aluxes you will not be allowed to enter in to the hotel we will be staying at during any point of your stay. You can make a reservation at www.privilegehotels.com and be sure to use our discount code below!

Upon your arrival to Cancun International Airport you will need to arrange a taxi or other form of transportation to the ferry dock. We are set up with CARM, a transportation taxi service that will be awaiting us outside of the airport with the ferry dock destination already anticipated. The entire taxi ride is about a 20-25 minute drive. Once CARM drops you off at the dock you will need tickets to get get aboard the ferry that takes you to Isla Mujeres. It's about a 15 minute boat ride that is a really enjoyable experience with live music and turquoise water all around you! You can use the link below to purchase both your CARM transportation and ferry tickets at a reduced rate. Also, your CARM driver would appreciate a small tip! P.S. The pick up time will be determined upon when your flight arrives. Don't feel like you have to stick to the time above. Flight
We will be flying in to Cancun via Sun Country Airlines (DFW->CUN) on July 9th at 7am. We will be staying until the 13th but there are many other guests planning to extend their stay. You are welcome to stay as long as you would like if you would like additional days to enjoy the island! Prices are going up quickly unfortunately so be sure to get your tickets as soon as possible!
Rental Car
There's no need to plan on renting a car throughout your stay! The entire island is 4 miles long by 1 mile wide and everyone utilizes golf carts to travel! There's plenty of cart rentals around the island for about 40-50 dollars a day that hold 4-5 people each. This makes traveling around from place to place super fun and cheap! It is illegal to drink and drive in a golf cart and to be under the influence of alcohol while driving so please make sure there is a sober driver at all times as you don't want an international DUI. Additionally, there are taxis all around so if you don't wish to be in a golf cart there is a taxi service that is available.
Travel Note
This is an important travel note! The ferry does not run 24 hours a day so if you book flights that come in late you will have to stay at a hotel in cancun, or if your flight home leaves too early you will not have a way to get to the airport on time. The latest you can come in to Isla Mujeres from Puerto Juarez is 10pm and the earliest you can leave Isla Mujeres to Puerto Juàrez is 7am. I would not recommend leaving home on a flight earlier than 10am. Anything after that you should be fine but be sure to give yourself plenty of grace as it takes about 1:15 minutes to get from Isla Mujeres to the Cancun International Airport. Then keep in mind getting through international customs will add time to travel as opposed to traveling inside of the states.
