The Cookery provides a valet parking service that will be available at our wedding. Valet parking will be complimentary, but we strongly encourage anyone who will be drinking to walk, Uber/Lyft or take the shuttle bus from the Durham Hotel!
"Formal attire" is slightly less formal than a black tie wedding. Joey and the groomsmen will not be in tuxedos, and male guests are not required to wear one, although a tuxedo is still appropriate if you own one. Ladies should wear a long evening dress, dressy suit or formal cocktail-length dress.
We are hosting a rehearsal dinner for immediate family and the bridal party only. We would love for you to join us for some informal drinks after dinner! Stay tuned!

We love your children and toddlers so much (seriously...so much). However, we are hoping to have an adults only wedding, which means that if you are traveling in from out of town and want to enjoy Durham with your family, we would love to help you find a babysitter for Saturday evening! Please email us at the above listed address if you need childcare. If, once November rolls around, you have a young infant, we of course understand that your infant will need to come with you to the wedding, and there is a private space at the Cookery to nurse if that's your preference. Otherwise, we hope that new parents take this opportunity for a Saturday night out or weekend away!
Heavens no-but thank you for asking! The ceremony, cocktail hour and reception will be inside. Dress for the season, as there are a couple of outdoor spaces at the Cookery, should you want a breath of fresh air.
We will have a courtesy shuttle bus available to guests staying at the Durham Hotel from 4 to 5 pm on the wedding day, should you like a ride. The hotel is less than a mile from the venue, so an Uber or Lyft would be around $5.00. At the end of the night the shuttle will be taking Rebecca and Joey to their afterparty, which is right by the Durham Hotel. Should you need a ride back to a hotel during the wedding, please let Emily our wedding planner know and she will call the shuttle bus for you.
