Two nights after we met, Joey picked Paula up on his motorcycle after a long shift at work. Paula was taking ceramics that semester and had a key to the studio, so we could slip in anytime, day or night. We turned on some music and settled in, our hands covered in clay, laughing as we attempted to throw bowls and form pinch pots. Between stolen glances, we talked about our dreams, our fears, and everything in between. Time disappeared as we discovered how perfectly our hands fit together, and before we knew it, the early morning hours had crept up on us. Looking back, those magical hours were the perfect metaphor for what we were creating together. Pottery is messy and delicate. It requires patience, vision, and the willingness to put in time and care. You have to trust the process, even when you can't see the final result. And when you tend to it with love and attention, when you learn to apply just the right amount of pressure—you create something beautiful. Eight years later, as we prepare to say "I do," we're still that same couple who fell in love with messy hands and open hearts, who knew that the best things in life are worth getting your hands a little dirty for. We can't wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you, the people who've watched our love story unfold from that very first date to the beautiful life we've crafted together.
