We met in the most romantic place imaginable. Under the glow of fluorescent lights and the faint smell of lumber and fresh paint: The Home Depot. Our story began in 2012 when we both worked at Home Depot, different departments so we did not interact with each other much. If you asked Joey what he remembers from the beginning, the first thing he will say is STRONG RBF. Apparently that hasn’t changed until now. As for Myleen, she will always remember the sight of Joey in his white tank top with his bike by his side as he leaves work for the day. Lots of stolen glances between us two until Myleen stole Joey's heart with a McDonald's Hot Fudge Sundae. The talking stage started then a first date at CPK Ala Moana finally happened. Before we knew it, we were officially a couple and everything just quickly fell into place. We started building a life together that's (mostly) level, sturdy, and held together with equal parts laughter, love, a little sarcasm, lots of food, traveling, and a touch of caulk.

2014——MOVING IN TOGETHER We moved into our first apartment together, learning the fine art of compromise and shared closets. This is when Myleen learned how to share more than half of the closet space with Joey's shoe collection. 2017——OUR FIRST HOME AND NAVIGATING PARENTHOOD We bought our first home, unbeknownst to us, we were already pregnant. God's timing really is something. On Christmas day in 2017, we became parents to a beautiful baby boy: Sebastian. Life instantly became busier, louder, and infinitely more meaningful. The years to come, together we navigated parenthood and quickly found out how difficult, but fulfilling it can be. 2020——FAMILY OF 4 Our family grew again with the arrival of Adeline! Two kids, endless love, and a home filled with laughter (and lots and lots of toys!). 2025——THE PROPOSAL After 13 years of building a life together, Joey finally got tired of waiting for Myleen to propose. So, during their trip to Japan on March 19, 2025, Joey asked Myleen to be his lifetime partner. Of course Myleen said YES! 2026——THE WEDDING On the day of our 14th year anniversary, we are finally making it official. We cannot wait to celebrate the beginning of a new chapter of our story with our closest family and friends.
