It all started with friends. My bridesmaid Paige and groomsman Tanner were dating at the time. Paige got me to start talking to Joey and Tanner got Joey to talk to me. After many double dates and spending more time together, we realized how natural it felt to be around each other—lots of laughs, late-night talks, and shared adventures. It didn’t take long before we knew this was something real. The rest is history, and we’ve been inseparable ever since.

It started with what I thought was just a fun day of ice fishing with friends turned into the best surprise ever. Joey and Bryce were setting up tip-ups while Josey and I sat in the warm fish house. Little did I know, Joey had secretly tied a fake ring to one of the lines. Not long after, the first tip-up went off—and it just so happened to be the one with the ring. They both were in shock becuase they weren't sure if it would go off. Bryce yelled my name to go get while Joey rushed to get the real ring ready. I was completely focused on reeling in the fish and didn’t even notice the fake ring on the line—despite Joey hinting at it. I finally found it on the line, and I turned around and there was Joey, down on one knee with the most beautiful ring. He gave the sweetest speech, and of course, I said yes!
