Question

I've never been to a Jewish wedding! What should I expect?

Answer

Don't wanna give away too many spoilers, but there will be: lots of love, a few happy tears, some blessings and words from our families, a beautiful chuppah that we'll stand under, people shouting "mazel tov!" and "l'chaim!", plenty of food and drink to enjoy. Also the Hora dance which... if you haven't experienced it, is a real treat!

What time should I actually arrive?

Answer

Please arrive at MyMoon between 3:15pm - 3:45pm to take your seat. Our ceremony will begin at 4:00pm promptly and we don't want you to miss any of the fun!

What's the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire please! We know you all clean up real nice. Most importantly though, we want everyone to feel handsome, beautiful, and comfortable to hang out and dance with us for a few hours.

What's the public transportation situation?

Answer

NYC Subway and Bus fare is currently $2.75 for a one-way ride. You'll need to purchase a Metrocard at a train station, in order to ride the subway or bus. Metrocard machines DO accept either cash or credit card. MyMoon is within walking distance of: - Bedford Avenue stop on the L train (5 min walk) - Lorimer Avenue stop on the L train (5 min walk) - Metropolitan Avenue stop on the G train (10 min walk) - Nassau Avenue stop on the G train (10 min walk) - Driggs Avenue / North 11th Street stop on the B62 bus (1 min walk) - Driggs Avenue / North 6th Street on the B91A bus (5 min walk) - Wythe Avenue / North 9th Street on the B32 bus (10 min walk) Please bear in mind it's COLD and WINDY this time of year -- bundle up appropriately for your walk! The venue is of course also easily accessible by taxi, ride-share, or your own vehicle.

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off! Plus, Joey's dad's Funky Chicken might give them nightmares. (Rated PG-13, not suitable for children and some adults.)

While we are not hosting a sit-down dinner during our reception, we'll have plenty of passed appetizers and tapas (including veggie options), charcuterie, and dessert available to keep all tummies happy and full.

If you're just visiting NYC - welcome to la Gran Manzana and THANK YOU SO MUCH for travelling to celebrate with us! We have hotel blocks reserved at a few different locations, with preferential rates for our guests. Yup! We want to make sure that we get to spend as much time as we can with you all, especially our amazing friends and family who are travelling from afar. Join us at The Counting Room (44 Berry Street) after our reception, to keep the party going.
