Wedding Weekend Travel Details

Downtown Milwaukee will be buzzing August 8-10 with the 2025 USA Triathlon Sprint and Olympic Distance National Championships happening along the lakefront near the Milwaukee Art Museum! This has made wedding planning a bit challenging -- hopefully we've alleviated any issues, and we look forward to catching glimpses of the competitions! We will be offering a shuttle from the room-block hotels to and from the wedding venue. While there will be nearby road closures for Triathalon events, the Museum will still be accessible by car for those who will be utilizing the Museum parking lot. If walking or driving to the venue, please allow ample time to navigate any crowds and bypass road closures. Details regarding the shuttle and venue parking are provided below.

Shuttles from the Hotels to the Ceremony / Parking Info at the Venue

August 9, 2025 5:00 pm - 12:30 am

We will be providing a shuttle to transport guests to and from the hotels and wedding venue. Once we have the details, we will post them here. Parking at the Milwaukee Art Museum: For our local guests, parking will be available at the Milwaukee Art Museum in the lot under the Museum. Due to Triathalon crowds and road closures surrounding the Museum, please allow for extra time to reach the parking lot. The wedding ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30 pm, and guests may arrive as early as 5 pm when the Museum closes to the public. Detailed driving instructions will also be provided here in advance of the wedding regarding road closures or special instructions.

NOTE: The cutoff date to make Hilton reservations at the group rate was July 11, however, they may still be able to accommodate adding rooms with our block rate if we contact them directly. Please reach out to Joey, Katelyn, or Ann if you would like to stay at the Hilton. Built in 1927, the Hilton Milwaukee City Center is an Art Deco landmark retaining many of its original features. Bonus: the hotel has 2 canine concierges, goldendoodles Millie and Sadie! Hopefully they will be working that weekend! The Hilton group block rates: $259 for the 1 King Bed Deluxe Room $259 for the 2 Double Bed Deluxe Room These rates are available for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Note: The deadline to book rooms with the discounted rate has passed. The Hilton may be able to accommodate additional guests at our block rate - please reach out to Katelyn, Joey, or Ann should you wish to stay at the Hilton. We would love to try and add you to the block. The Courtyard Milwaukee Downtown offers spacious, modern rooms, and features an indoor pool. The hotel is connected to the renowned 3rd St. Market Hall, offering lots of trendy fast dining options and games like shuffleboard and giant Jenga. Courtyard Milwaukee Downtown group block rates: $199 for the Standard King Room with sleeper sofa $199 for the Standard Queen Queen Room with no sleeper sofa Note: Breakfast is not included in this room rate. Flight

Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport

Milwaukee has a great mid-size airport! It is located eight miles south of downtown, about a 15-minute drive from the venue and hotels. If you are planning on staying downtown for the entirety of your stay, there is no need to rent a car to get to the hotel from the airport. Taxis and rideshare services (Uber, Lyft, etc.) are readily available at the airport and in Milwaukee in general.
