Five years ago, Joey and I met as our businesses were next door to each other in Goldsboro, NC. I was his first client as I was in need of a computer technician to set up my office. At the time, Joey's business progressed, mine did not and we lost connection. Fast forward to October of 2017, my Macbook suddenly went out and there was an inner nudging that pulled on me to have Joey look at my computer. We now know that was the Holy Spirit guiding us to a divine reconnection… When she brought the Macbook for repair, I instantly noticed something was different about her... there was something about her spirit. After fixing the Macbook, she came to pick it up and we conversed for hours, although it seemed like a short period of time. Within that conversation, I saw the light within her and notice something was different about her. It intrigued me so much so, I knew I wanted to get to know her on a spiritual level and I said to myself, "I want to see if this is something worth perusing." Fast forward, we began dating on the 14th of February. On the 23rd of February, the Holy Spirit revealed to us that we were husband and wife. Shortly after, we were engaged on 7.21.18!!! Since the onset of our relationship, we knew the Lord was orchestrating our relationship through daily confirmations. Joey and I gained a deeper revelation from the Bible verse Genesis 2:22 as our relationship revealed that I was truly his Rib. This is how the hashtag #nothinbuttheLORD came about.

Our proposal weekend was filled with serene moments as Joey took us on a boat ride that toured the Wrightsville Ocean in Wilmington, NC. After the boat ride, the Captain led Joey and I to the private pier that overlooked the lake. Joey and I both have a passion to connect with God through nature. As Joey opened up in prayer, I quickly realized this was not a typical night we would just gaze the stars. BUT on THIS night, in front of the stars and heaven, Joey asked me to be his future Mrs. Kinlaw. Without hesitation, I said YES!!!
