Why is there an hour gap between the ceremony & reception?

Answer

We chose not to do a first look because we want to share that special moment with all of you during the ceremony. As a result, there is an hour gap between our ceremony & reception for us to take photos with each other and our entire bridal party. We wanted to be able to spend every minute with you all at cocktail hour so we hope this hour break is not too much of an inconvenience!

What can I do during the hour gap?

You are free to do whatever you want with your hour but here are some ideas: Go to Charlie's of Bay Head for a drink Hang out at the Bentley's lobby Freshen up at your hotel room

Is there any transportation provided?

Answer

Yes! To the reception: There will be a trolley that will make pick ups at The Bentley and The Grenville to take you to the reception at the Bay Head Yacht Club. Please see estimated timeline below: ~4:35pm: Trolley arrives at The Bentley to take guest to BHYC ~4:45pm: Trolley arrives at The Grenville to take guests to BHYC To the after party: There will be vans to take you from the Bay Head Yacht Club to the Ark Pub.

There is only street parking for our church ceremony.

Yes, there is a parking lot at the Bay Head Yacht Club.

Could I walk to the ceremony/reception locations?

Answer

Weather permitting, yes! Bay Head is a very, small walkable town, and during the holidays it's beautifully decorated for Christmas. We suggest bringing your big coats for the option to enjoy a festive stroll!
