A match made in heaven (or on Hinge)... Hannah and Joey knew from first swipe that they had found someone special. Short lived conversations on the app turned into long conversations in person as they started their adventures together. Joey first asked Hannah out to go rock climbing (shocker) followed by a few drinks at Sluggers where they listened to dueling pianos. Joey met and exceeded all of Hannah's expectations: 6'4", long hair, handsome, adventuristic, and a good personality. Hannah surprised herself by inviting Joey to a Sound Bath Workshop at her yoga studio. Up until Joey came along, she kept her work lives and dating lives very separate. Hannah then surprised herself by asking Joey to come see her dance a month into dating! Little did Joey know, Hannah swore she wouldn't invite a guy to see her perform until they were officially boyfriend/girlfriend. Well, lucky for Hannah, she didn't have to break that boundary as Joey asked her to be his girlfriend the afternoon before he came to see her perform which also happened to be April Fools' Day! Johannah (their couple name that was christened by Joey's brother Andy), continued to fall in love with each other and with each other's hobbies and activities. Their social lives doubled in size as they intertwined their lives. Hannah started rock climbing with Joey regularly while Joey signed up to take a beginning aerial fabric class at Aerial Dance Chicago! He even attended a few of Hannah's Hot yoga classes until finally realizing that the heat was a bit too much for him. Maybe one day ;) Joey taught Hannah how to juggle while Hannah taught Joey how to dance… sort of ;) Their love of travel and adventure is one that is strong and only just beginning! Their first trip together was a climbing and camping trip to the Mississippi Palisades, followed by many other climbing and camping trips around the midwest. Their most recent trip was to Thailand! This was also Hannah's first Murphy family trip! But let's not forget the most important trip they took, which was to Galena, Illinois, where Joey got down on one knee, told Hannah she turns his 6's to 9's, and asked her to marry him. Almost exactly a year later they'll be saying ‘I do”! We can't wait to celebrate with all of you on August 16th, 2025!
