We first met on a dating app, and instantly [2 months later after I convinced him to meet me in real life] brought our online relationship into real life to a local brewery for our first date on April Fool’s Day. Our date was filled with laughter, as well as an instance of Grace yelling to the rest of the patrons "Red Flag!!!" and pounding her hands on the table. Apparently, the green flags (not announced to the rest of the brewery...) outweighed the red and we had our second date the next day. [I only remember the laughter part...and that Joey was not the awkward, shy guy he told me he was] A few months later we went to each other’s cabins for the Fourth Of July and Grace almost [correction, I did win! Check the last photo in our gallery...] won cabin Olympics in her first year of competition. Despite the loss, she was a hit at the cabin…make sure to ask her about the snare drum she "borrowed" from an Eveleth Clown Band member for several bars along the parade! What followed was the blossoming of a lovely romance, continuous Zola pics, and cheering on our favorite hockey team - the Gophers. Two years later, while we were painting our living room I asked Grace if we should treat ourselves to a night out as we worked so hard that day. Unbeknownst to Grace, I had a ring and a plan - to walk her through Rice Park right in front of the Ordway at night under the Christmas lights, and propose. [It was perfect!]
