Powell is located in a beautiful basin with the Big Horn Mountains to the east and the East entrance to Yellowstone National Park to the West! If you're outdoorsy then this is the place to be! Cody, Wy is the home of the Wild West, being the entry way to Yellowstone, with Buffalo Bill's historic Irma hotel, the Buffalo Bill Dam, and the Buffalo Bill Wild West Muesum. As long as the weather is cooperating, there is the scenic Chief Joseph Highway, Beartooth Pass to gorgeous Red Lodge, MT, and also Cooke City, MT, all within an hour and a half drive! You'll love the breath-taking views and the wildlife!
