The Wedding Website of Briana Manrique and Joseph Casey
We understand destination weddings come with a lot of questions. We hope our FAQ section answers most of them! If you have a question not addressed here, please email our concierge, Helen: reservation@destinationweddingstulum.com We look forward to spending our special day with you!
Question

When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP "yes" or "no" on our website by November 30th. You can find the RSVP section on our homepage, or by clicking the three line hamburger menu in the upper right corner and navigate to "RSVP".

Question

Which airport should I fly into?

Answer

A flight directly into Tulum will make the backend of your trip easier since you will be in town, but there are fewer flight options compared to Cancun. If you fly into Cancun, you will need to book transportation to Tulum which is about 1.5 hours by car. If you need assistance booking ground transport, please email our concierge, Helen, to book: reservation@destinationweddingstulum.com. In the subject, please include "Briana & Joey Wedding - Your Name". Joey and I will fly from Chicago to Tulum directly.

Question

Is there someone who can help me book travel (flight, ground transportation, etc)?

Answer

Yes! Please feel free to email our concierge, Helen, and she can assist: reservation@destinationweddingstulum.com. In the subject, please include "Briana & Joey Wedding - Your Name".

Question

How many nights should I stay?

Answer

This is totally up to you! There is a 3-night minimum stay at NEST (Thurs 3/13-Sun 3/16), with the option to add additional nights per their availability. If that does not work for your schedule, there are other hotels available and our concierge, Helen, can assist. Please email her at reservation@destinationweddingstulum.com. In the subject, please include "Briana & Joey Wedding - Your Name". Joey and I will arrive Wednesday, March 12th and depart the following Wednesday, March 19th and will be staying at NEST.

Question

Is the wedding/reception indoor or outdoor?

Answer

The ceremony will be held on the beach at NEST Tulum and the reception will follow at NÜ Tulum which is an indoor/outdoor venue (5-minute walk from NEST). Be prepared to be outdoors for most of the evening.

Question

What is the dress code for your wedding events?

Answer

Please refer to the events page for attire details for each event.

Question

What is the weather like in Tulum in March?

Answer

Daily high temperatures will be in the mid-80's, rarely falling below 80°F or exceeding 93°F. Daily low temperatures will be in the mid-60's, rarely falling below 53°F or exceeding 72°F. With that, weather changes all of the time. Please be sure to check the weather prior to your trip!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to limited capacity, we ask that our guests not bring a plus one unless indicated on the invitation. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we are aiming for a more intimate, adult-oriented celebration and have planned activities with this in mind. We understand that childcare arrangements may not be possible, so if bringing your children makes it easier for you to attend, please feel comfortable to do so. Please note that children are not allowed to stay at NEST beyond the 3 nights already reserved (Thursday 3/13-Sunday 3/16). We appreciate your understanding!

Question

What costs should I consider?

Answer

There's no cost to you for any of the official wedding events (e.g. boat trip, welcome event, wedding cocktail hour/reception). Guests will be responsible for their travel and accommodations (e.g. flight, hotel, ground transport) and any personal meals or activities which are not part of our official wedding schedule.

Question

What other activities should we consider in Tulum?

Answer

Tulum is an amazing destination with so much to offer! We highly encourage you to book other activities outside of the wedding events such as visiting the cenotes, diving/snorkeling, Mayan ruins, etc. Our concierge, Helen, would be happy to help you book activities: reservation@destinationweddingstulum.com

Question

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

When you RSVP for each event, it should ask you for dietary restrictions. Please submit your dietary restrictions there, and we'll make every effort to accommodate.

Question

What is the schedule of events?

Answer

Please refer to the "Schedule" page on our website.

Question

Will transportation be provided between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

The reception is a 5-minute walk from the ceremony and our wedding planner will be there to assist.

Question

When are Joey and Briana traveling to/from Tulum?

Answer

We will arrive on Wednesday, March 12th and depart on the following Wednesday, March 19th. Once we have everyone's travel details, we can coordinate plans on any additional days we'll be together. We also encourage everyone to extend their stay to experience the magic of Tulum and explore this beautiful place!
