We Eloped

Let's set the scene: Our story began at 7th grade in 2004 in Advance English Class, Vy sits in the front row. Joey walks in as newly added student place in the back of the class. For most of you who don’t know, despite being a good Grade A student, Vy is a rebel and trouble maker. One day Vy was talking to a classmate behind her about assignment, but the teacher assumed differently and gets angry. “Vy I had enough of you talking”, as she drags the desk with Vy in it to the front of the classroom - desk touches wall, “you’re going to sit up here until the bell rings. Vy gives dirty look and glance behind. She quietly scoots her desk back inch by inch to the original spot and sits politely. Joey’s interest just sparked. Everyone starts to giggle and the teacher notices. Forcefully moves Vy’s desk back to the wall, “Vy don’t move from this spot!” It doesn’t stop Vy from doing it again – continues to scoots the desk back again. “I have to meet this girl,” thought Joey. Angrily, the teacher moves the desk. “Vy if you move one more time, I’ll send you to the principal’s office!” but that created a huge smirk across Vy’s face. As she moved the desk back for the third time, Joey couldn’t help the giant smile on his face. The moment the teacher noticed and was about to pull out the referral, the bell rings! Like the wind, Vy runs straight out of class before anything else happen but Joey falling in love. ______ We created a friendship through 8th grade, but interestingly enough, boy likes girl – never told girl, and girl likes boy – never told boy. A secret we both held from each other for a long time ______ As it did 9 years ago, Jan 11 was the official day to the start of our relationship, in 2021, it became the official day to the start of our marriage.
