The Venue

Blacktail Mountain Ski Area is one of 2 local ski resorts in the Flathead Valley which sits at an elevation of 6,780 ft. It's located above the town of Lakeside, Montana. Watch for signage and once in Lakeside, turn west at Blacktail Grocery. Follow the Blacktail Road 14 miles to the mountaintop. There is no lodging available on top of the mountain (unless you'd like to bring a camper or a tent to stay on top the night of the wedding). Please see the details below about recommended lodging in and near Lakeside.

Camping at Blacktail Mountain Ski Area

If you have a camper or a tent you’d like to bring up to the wedding venue on top of the mountain, there is camping available. There are no hookups so you’ll have to be self contained. The venue requires a $35 fee per night camping if you’d like to go that route (this fee helps pay a staff member to stay on the mountain for the nights). Please see RSVP page for the link to purchase a camping pass.
