Jaci Gage

Maid of Honor

Jaci is the best younger sister I could dream up. She is spunky, giggly, supportive, life-giving, and so loving. I adore her with my whole heart and would not want anyone else directly by my side on this special day. Growing up, we would push each others buttons like none other, but could not make it longer than about 10 minutes being upset with each other. We laugh to this day about that. Whenever we were sent to our rooms (which were across our upstairs hallway from each other), we would write each other apology letters and send them back and forth on remote control cars or some sort of mobile toy haha! Jaci and I are practically inseparable. Taylor and I cannot move too far because being near Jaci is a NECESSITY! I am so happy to have her as my MOH! :)

Tyler Parrish

Best Man

Seven years separate Tyler and I, but the age gap has never been much of a factor for us. Growing up, Tyler was never afraid to be himself, and encouraged me to pursue things I was genuinely interested in and not what was popular at the time – one of his most admirable traits in my opinion. From the late night video games, Jack in the Box and QT runs, helping me build my own computer, and alleged stories of me sleep walking when we shared a room Tyler has always been one of my best friends. I’m ecstatic to have him as one of my best men. Tyler is the epitome of what all oldest brothers should be: a leader, a protector, an adviser, and a friend. Love you, Tyne.

Alexa Armstrong

Bridesmaid

We have known each other practically since I can remember. I grew up with Alexa and it is funny that as soon as we were not going to the same school, we got even closer. I think we realized how much we truly loved being with each other and as soon as we did not have the luxury of seeing each other every day, we had to put forth effort to see each other-- but we totally rocked it and I am so thankful!! Alexa is one of my very best friends. I do not recall one time that I have been with Alexa and not laughed our heads off. This friendship radiates joy. Alexa is my lifelong best friend and I am so honored to have her as a bridesmaid and makeup artist for the special day!!!

Trevor Parrish

Best Man

Gym partner. Older brother. Bandmate. Roommate. Trevor has always been the guy that’s known exactly how to push my buttons, and while this irritated me to no end when I was younger, I have come to recognize that it is one his best qualities. I’ve always wanted to be more like Trevor, to the extent that I pursued the exact same extracurriculars he did in high school and college, as well as nearly identical degrees. Trevor has done a lot for me over the years and helped direct my path to where I am today. I remember after the first time I met Joely, I told Trevor how I wanted to marry a girl like her. I’m so glad the person that encouraged my love for Joely (and baja blast) is going to be standing by my side as one of my best men. Love you, Treyn.

Madi Miller

Bridesmaid

Madi has been my go-to bestie girl since sophomore year of high school. From yearbook class, to our glamorous Florida trip; from practically living with each other all summer, to college hangout kidnappings; from our solid bucket lists, to Num Noms baking... Our relationship is one of a kind. No matter the distance (even when she left me and went all the way to China), our friendship is so strong and picks up right where it left off. I am so thankful for Madi and her tender heart. I am thrilled to have her on our side for this big day!!!

Kyle Martin

Groomsman

Kmartx01. Kyle and I became friends through church when I entered the youth group my 6th grade year. I remember bonding with Kyle and Dallas at my first Disciple Now retreat over discussions of MU sports and video games – and not a whole lot has changed since. When Kyle and I were in middle school/high school, we would stay up playing L4D or Call of Duty zombies every night during the summer, attend various church camps and retreats together, and attempt to eat BWW’s at least once a week. Kyle has always been a consistent friend who is always down to chill. I’m so thankful for our friendship that goes deeper than video games and hang outs, but back to where it started: our faith in Jesus.

Phoebe Finley

Bridesmaid

It all started in Plaster Lodge at SBU. The memories Phoebe and I have together are fantastic to say the least. I literally think she is the funniest person in the world. I keep Phoebe around because she adds immeasurable joy, humor, support, and excitement to my life. I think she keeps me around because she knows I will laugh at any and every joke or remark that she makes. Phoebe has been a huge part of Taylor and I's relationship. HUGE. We tease because it seems as if she is always with us or a part of our relationship. Any picture Taylor and I have together was probably taken by Phoebe. Any crazy surprises we were planning for each other, Phoebe probably helped orchestrate. She is who reconnected Taylor and I and receives plenty of credit for that. This day can't happen without Phoebe!

Timothy Finley

Groomsman

Timothy and I met the first day of my freshman year of college and became friends instantly. Timothy took me under his wing and helped me make new friends, included me on FIFA tournaments (sorry Nolan, I’m carrying that dub to the grave), invited me on multiple spring break trips to Florida, and just made my college experience better than I thought it could be. I had the luxury of being roommates with Tim my sophomore year. Tim often encouraged me not to take things so seriously and to enjoy the time that I had, rather than work my college experience away which I am extremely grateful for. Some of my favorite memories from college are the times Tim and I would stay up until 3 am watching Netflix, riding his longboards, or just stay up talking about life. Long live Memorial 103!

Shelbee Sterthman

Bridesmaid

Shelbee and I became friends playing softball together at SBU. In no time, we became super close and knew we HAD to live with each other. Time spent with Shelbee is guaranteed to consist of scattered conversations (because we just get so excited to tell each other everything), delicious food(and conversation about all other delicious foods), hysterical laughing (literally until we cry or get leg cramps), ridiculous jokes (it is all about the delivery), updates on the latest and greatest shopping bargains we snagged (I am sure she is eyeing something at Bath&Body right now), and so much fun. I simply cannot imagine my life without Shelbee-- or this big day!!! Not only will she be standing by me on my wedding day, I get the honor to stand right next to her on her wedding day a month later!!

Jordan Young

Groomsman

I first met Jordan at SBU as “Richard Young’s younger brother” which is a similar title that I held my first year of SBU (“Trevor/Tyler Parrish’s younger brother”). Jordan and I hung out in different circles up until the tail-end of my sophomore year. Jordan and I were both in need of a new roommate and decided to room together my junior year of college. We went from knowing very little about one another to becoming great friends in the matter of days. Jordan and I spent a lot of our time hanging out in Memorial 101 eating Taco Bell (he introduced me to the quesarito – lifechanging btw), sharing new music, and straight up CHILLIN. I will always be grateful for Jordan and the friendship we created at SBU, and I wish we would’ve started this awesome friendship sooner!

Jessa Kliewer

Bridesmaid

My sweet Jess. Jess and I have got the kind of friendship that just simply cannot be made up. Our claim to fame is the fact that the first time that we EVER hung out with each other was when she came on a road trip to Florida with my family when we were little 8th graders. We know it sounds insane. We honestly do not even know how it happened lol. Jess has been a friend through thick and thin. We have so many random memories with each other. Even when we would run around with different friend groups, we still managed to hang out every so often. My friendship with Jessa is absolutely irreplaceable. She encourages and loves me so well and I am so happy to have her as a forever friend. In the words of Ben Rector (who she introduced me to), there is NOTHING like old friends :)

Dallas Burnette

Groomsman

DB Krisp. Our friendship began the same way that Kyle and I’s friendship did. Dallas and I met through youth group and we bonded over the same interests: video games and sports. Dallas, Kyle and I were pretty much inseparable throughout middle school and high school. While a lot has changed in all of our lives over the past few years, Dallas has always managed to make time for hangouts, despite working nights and extra hours. Dallas has always been the friend that would have my back no matter the circumstance. Grateful for our friendship and looking forward to many more lake trips in the years to come. From pick up basketball in the driveway, to seemingly endless amounts of Skittles and Soda while watching movies at your house, I’m so glad that our friendship has stood the test of time.

Kari Gage

Bridesmaid

Kari GAGE is my brand new SIL!!! :) Kari is a bundle of joy and the perfect addition to our family. I actually played college softball against Kari, but played on the same team as her sister Kori. I always knew she was super sweet, gorgeous, and a heck of a ballplayer. Kori and I actually set up my brother and Kari and now they are going to be married! Watching her and my brother's relationship grow has been the greatest pleasure. I always dreamt of my future sister in law being super close to both me and Jaci. Boy, has Kari exceeded all dreams and expectations. Kari has become an incredible friend and I am ecstatic to have her as a part of our family- AND MY BIG DAY! :)

Kaden Brown

Groomsman

Probably the most interesting story of them all is Kaden and I’s friendship. Kaden moved to Blue Springs during our third grade year. I don’t remember exactly how we met, but in all likelihood, it was either at the basketball court or at the tetherball pole on the playground. Kaden, Kyle Messick, and I spent countless hours with each other either at one of our houses or playing games online. In 6th grade, Kaden moved back to Texas, but that didn’t stop us from staying close. Kaden and I called each other constantly, and still give each other a call at least once or twice a month to talk through life, not including the time we spend playing games together. So thankful for this friendship and our ability to stay such good friends.

Brooke Perry

Bridesmaid

AKA my cousin. Brooke has always been considered family. Honestly, most of you reading this were probably told that she was my cousin lol! Brooke has been such a positive influence on my life and my walk with Christ. She is one of the strongest people that I know. She always gives 100% and never lets anyone down. Brooke loves on others harder than anyone I know. I can say confidently that I will ALWAYS have a friend in Brooke and that means the absolute world to me. No matter the distance or the time in between, we pick up where we left off and nothing changes. Not to mention, I think we laugh until we nearly pee our pants every time we are with each other!! I have known Brooke since I can remember and I cannot imagine this day without her there with me :)

Kyle Messick

Groomsman

Kyle and I became friends the first day of Kindergarten in Mrs. Rowland’s class. I remember being so scared that I wouldn’t find any friends at school, when I got to my desk and found out I was placed across from this kid named Kyle. Kyle and I were the epitome of best friends all growing up. We played on the same basketball team, played the same instrument, followed the same sports teams, and were each other’s go-to for hangouts. I have so many good memories with Kyle, from all-nighters fueled solely on Slim Jim’s and Orange Crush, to 16-hour road trips for Drumline. I’m so excited to have my oldest friend stand by my side!

Kenzie Drollinger

Bridesmaid

Kenzie and I have literally known each other since the very beginning. Our dads were best friends all through high school, which led to our families becoming super close. We laugh to this day about all of our memories playing with American Girls, pretending to be Hannah Montana and Lily, and getting annoyed with our younger sisters always wanting to butt in and play with us too lol! Although we have always lived 2 1/2 hours away, we have planned and made sure to see each other frequently. From Gulf Shores vacationing to random Dixie Stampede trips, time with Kenzie has been so adventurous and exciting. ALSO she is the craftiest woman that I know and has helped so much to prepare for this day. I am so glad you are a part of this day with us Kenz:)

Nolan Becerra

Groomsman

Nolan and I met my freshman year of college, the day of my first FIFA tournament at Memorial, which is coincidentally the day I beat Nolan. At that point, Nolan more than likely hated me, but it’s all been up since then. Nolan and I have been there for each other through some very difficult times of life. Even when I was in some of my worst states, Nolan was there to make me laugh. We spent a lot of time together throughout our college careers, watching Netflix, talking through life, and on the intramural fields. College would not have been nearly as fun without Nolan. Thankful for our ability to go from serious talks to laughing at ourselves within seconds. Happy to have you standing up there with me, Nole.
