FAQs

If you have any questions besides what is listed here, feel free to reach out to Joel (308-350-1083) or Macy (308-350-0987).
Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

You can click the RSVP tab above and RSVP at any time. We will not be including a physical RSVP with your invitation.

Question

When should I RSVP?

Answer

The earlier the better! Our final date to RSVP is JULY 15TH.

Question

What should I do if I cannot make it?

Answer

You will be so missed! If you cannot attend our wedding, please indicate “will NOT attend” on your RSVP so we can plan accordingly. If you have already RSVP’d “Attending” but will not be able to make it, please notify Joel or Macy as soon as you are aware.

Question

What is the order of events?

Answer

Ceremony: 1 PM - 2:30 PM Cocktail hour: 5 PM - 6:30 PM Dinner: 6:30 - 7:30 PM Dancing: 7:30 PM - 10:30 PM Exit: 10:30 PM

Question

What’s with the tickets with my save the date?

Answer

The amount of tickets you received corresponds to the amount of guests allotted with your invitation. So if you only have one name on your envelope, but you have 5 tickets, your group of 5 is counted for! The names of each guest will appear as you RSVP on the ‘RSVP’ tab as well.

Question

Where will the ceremony and reception take place?

Answer

The ceremony will be held at Church of the Ascension in Overland Park, Kansas at 1 PM. The reception will be held at the Everly in Kansas City, Missouri at 5 PM. For more information on the time between the ceremony and reception, check ‘Things to Do’ tab.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 1 PM. Please plan to arrive no later than 12:45 to get settled into your seats.

Question

There are 2 venues? How will I get between the two?

Answer

Yes, there are two venues! Our hope is that after the wedding ceremony, everyone will have time to check into their hotel room downtown, relax, grab a drink, or check out Kansas City’s many attractions while you wait for cocktail hour to begin. For more information, see ‘Things to Do’ tab.

Question

What is the attire?

Answer

We are excited to see our family and friends dress up with us! For this, we are requesting garden party cocktail wear. This includes many pastel/light colors and patterns. Please refrain from wearing jeans, and black or white.

Question

Can I take photos and videos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that you do not have your phones or cameras out during the ceremony. Our photographer and videographer will be capturing the ceremony, and we want the media to be phone-free!

Question

What should I do between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

There are a few hours between the wedding ceremony and the reception. We hope that this will be a time to check into your hotel room, freshen up, enjoy a drink at a number of local bars, or explore historic/iconic parts of downtown Kansas City. You can find specific recommendations under ‘Things To Do’ tab.

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

Our hotel block (Hotel Indigo) has a large parking area. The Everly is: - a 5 minute walk - a quick Uber ride If you prefer to drive, a lot monitored by a security guard for the entirety of the reception can be found at the corner of W 20th Street and Central Street, just down the block from the reception space.

Question

Can I bring a date/plus one?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. Your invitation will be made out to everyone by name, or will say “(Your Name) + Guest” if a plus one has been given to you.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! The drinks are on us, and the hangover is on you. Please drink responsibly!

The greatest gift is your presence on our special day. However, should you wish to contribute to our new chapter of life together, a registry is available on another tab of this website, or a card box will be present at the wedding reception.
