Yes, due to continued local government restrictions, we've made the difficult decision to postpone our wedding celebration (again) to May 21, 2022. While we sincerely hoped the world would be back to normal by July, we can't imagine asking those we care about to make a choice between their health and celebrating with us. While we're already legally married, we hope you'll be able to join us to celebrate - we can't wait to see you!
The dress code for our wedding is formal. For ladies this may mean a long evening dress, dressy top with pants or formal cocktail-length dress, and for the gentlemen a suit and tie. We encourage you to join us in your formal attire for the duck boat tour (we'll be in a wedding dress and tux!), but also welcome you to dress casually and change before the reception.
While we love your children, the reception venue isn't a great place for little ones. We welcome those age 16 and older to join us on Saturday. The welcome party on Friday is for those 21 and older.
In lieu of a ceremony, we're asking our guests to join us on a private tour of the city we love. We'll be boarding duck boats right out front of The Liberty Hotel. Boats depart promptly at 4:00pm, so please plan to arrive no later than 3:45 if you'd like to join us. Of course, this tour is optional! You're also welcome to meet us back at The Liberty Hotel for cocktail hour, beginning at 6:00pm on the 5th floor rotunda.
We thought you might ask. It's an 80-minute tour in a WWII era DUKW (duck boat) that explores the cities of Boston and Cambridge and then dives into the Charles River. Don't worry though, you won't get wet on this tour. An RSVP for this event is required so we can ensure we have the right number of seats.
Definitely! We'd recommend Row 34 for seafood, bartaco and Lolita for Mexican, or Strega for a steakhouse. There are tons of additional options walking distance in the seaport so feel free to explore!
We ask that you RSVP for all of our events online via the RSVP tab. Feel free to reach out if you have any trouble!
Absolutely! Please just make this note in your online RSVP and we'll make it happen. If you'd like to speak with us directly about a special circumstance, please don't hestiate to text or email the bride (joellen.huebner@gmail.com) or groom (jordan.lieberman4@gmail.com).
You can drive into Boston, however, we recommend planning extra time for the inevitable traffic. Once you're here, we recommend leaving your car parked for the weekend. The Liberty Hotel has valet parking if you choose to drive. For hotel guests, parking is $65 per night. For those driving in for the reception, parking will cost $35 for the event. The Boston Common Garage is a half mile from The Liberty Hotel and will cost you a bit less. On Saturday and Sunday, 24 hours is $18.
For the least frustrating vacation, leave your car parked. We recommend taking the MBTA ("the T") or an Uber/Lyft all weekend. Google Maps is great for transit directions and a cab or Uber/ Lyft is never more than a few minutes away.
Please don't hesitate to reach out to us! We're happy to help with anything from answering a wedding-specific question to recommending a great neighborhood or restaurant for your stay.
Right?! Don't worry, contrary to what you see in the photos he has two perfect ears. We don't know why he insists on hiding them.
