Since Toledo does not have its own airport, we recommend flying into Madrid-Barajas Airport (MAD). Several airlines, including Air Canada, Lufthansa, and Air Transat, offer direct flights from Montreal to Madrid.
Toledo is about a 30-minute train ride from Madrid. You can take a high-speed AVE train from Madrid's Puerta de Atocha station directly to Toledo, with around 14 departures daily. Alternatively, you can choose a taxi, private transfer, rental car, or carpool services like the Blablacar app. The journey by road takes approximately 1 hour for a more personalized travel experience. Toledo is a stunning city with incredible ancient sights and amazing cuisine. Since it’s relatively small, it can be explored in about two days. In contrast, Madrid is vibrant, lively, and full of energy, offering plenty to do, so it will require more time to discover! We will be staying in Madrid before the wedding and in Toledo on the wedding night. We highly recommend that guests stay in Toledo on the night of the wedding to fully enjoy the celebration and take the opportunity to explore the city the following day.
Madrid is very accessible by metro, buses, and trains, all of which are efficient and easy to navigate. Walking is also a great option since many attractions are close to each other. Taxis and rideshare services like Uber, Bolt, and Cabify are readily available. Additionally, you can rent bikes and electric scooters through apps like Lime and Circ for a fun way to explore the city. *** If you’re staying in Madrid or plan to drive through central Madrid, you’ll need to rent an ECO car (low-emission vehicle) to access the city center and avoid fines. If you’re booking your car in advance or through your credit card company, make sure to choose an ECO car.
Toledo is a historic city with narrow streets, so walking is the best way to explore its beauty. Comfortable shoes are a must! If you do not wish to walk, taxis would be the most ideal way to get around, as they are readily available. Please note that Ubers are very limited in Toledo. The wedding will be an elegant, black-tie affair. We kindly request the following attire: For men: A tuxedo or a formal suit paired with a bow tie. For women: Formal long gowns or long cocktail dresses in any color — the more colors, the merrier!
While we adore your little ones, this will be an adults-only celebration.
The dinner will feature a carefully selected menu, but we want to ensure that everyone is well taken care of. If you have any dietary restrictions or allergies, you will be able to specify that in the RSVP section of this website. This will help us accommodate your needs accordingly. Kindly note that we won’t be able to make changes on the day of the wedding if we haven’t been informed beforehand.
Yes, there is a large parking lot at the venue, and staff will be available to assist with parking.
At the beginning of September, both cities typically enjoy warm and sunny weather. Daytime temperatures average around 28–30°C (82–86°F), while evenings are cooler, dropping to around 15–17°C (59–63°F). We recommend bringing a light jacket or shawl for the evening.
