InterContinental Chicago Magnificent Mile

Please note the Groboski-Parks onsite wedding block, group code PZV, when booking for a reduced room rate of $169 in the Grand Tower and $214 in the Executive Tower for the following dates: Friday, November 22 Saturday, November 23 Sunday, November 24 We recommend requesting early check in because of the hotel's proximity to the Magnificent Mile Lights Festival on Saturday. Early check in is based on availability, but all fees have been waived. This rate expires Thursday, October 31, 2019.

Magnificent Mile Lights Festival

We are sharing our wedding day with the Magnificent Mile Lights Festival. Michigan Avenue will close for all pedestrian and vehicle traffic on Saturday, November 23 at 4:00 pm from Oak Street to Wacker Drive. The parade starts at 5:00 pm. Michigan Avenue will not reopen until 7:00 pm. For those driving, we recommend parking at the InterContinental Hotel ($27 reduced rate non-overnight, $71 overnight) before the ceremony and walking or taking a taxi/Uber/Lyft to the ceremony. The easiest way to access the hotel parking is to utilize lower Illinois to access lower Michigan Avenue and drive directly into the parking garage. Starting at 4:00 pm, the InterContinental's valet will move to the Illinois Street entrance during the road closures. There is limited parking near the Archbishop Quigley Center and what is available will be at a premium as the parade begins at 5:00 pm. A private bus that will be available to shuttle guests from the Chapel to the InterContinental after mass.
