What time should I arrive for the cermony?

Answer

We recommend leaving plenty of time for parking/traffic in downtown Pittsburgh on a Saturday. If you can arrive by 2:30pm and seated by 2:45pm for the 3:00pm ceremony that would be best!

What is the dress code?

Answer

We ask that you wear semi-formal attire, such as cocktail length-dress, dressy separates, or a suit and tie. Please note the venue does not permit blue jeans or sneakers.

Indoor/Outdoor?

Everything will be indoors and air conditioned.

Do you have hotel recommendations?

Answer

Please see the travel tab for info about Embassy Suites and booking a room in our block. There are tons of hotels in the area if you miss the cut off deadline to stay at the Embassy in our block of rooms. June 10th is the cut off date to be a guaranteed a room in the wedding block!

Can I take photos/videos during the ceremony?

We ask to please not have phones and/or cameras out during this time. We have professional photographers who will capture the moment. For the reception feel free to take as many pictures and videos as you would like!

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Please note on your RSVP card- if you forgot please let Joelle or Jeff know at the latest by June 11th so we can be sure to accomodate.

Time in-between ceremony and cocktail hour

Answer

There is a period of time after the ceremony (ceremony takes place 3:00pm-3:30pm) and cocktail hour (cocktail hours takes place 4:30pm-5:30pm). Feel free to go to the 25th floor of the Embassy to Ollie's Gastropub for drinks or to hang out. There are restrooms and seating available at this location.
