Our Story

From Hank's Perspective

Let me first begin by saying that this is 100% accurate and all other versions of our story especially Joelle’s are not. Let us take a trip down memory lane back to everyone’s favorite time in life... high school! The land of adolescent awkwardness and stealing your parent’s vodka out of the freezer. I was a little fish in a big pond (still cocky as ever) and I kept hearing rumors about this beautiful new girl that came over from Trinity. I started looking around school finding where I could “accidentally” run into her and formally introduce myself as her future husband. Funny thing is, I couldn’t find her anywhere! It took me all of freshman year to even lay eyes on her. Come to find out, she was in AP classes that were on a completely opposite side of school than the less advanced kids like me and many of the people who are probably reading this right now (you know who you are). So naturally, after finding that out, I took to Twitter because shooters gotta shoot, am I right? I ever so gracefully slid into her DM’s to seal the deal. Didn’t take long before I had her locked-down riding around in my gorgeous 2006 Toyota Tacoma. One cool January night, I went to see her cheer in a tournament at Armwood High School, where I enthusiastically and very intently watched as the cheer teams carried on for what felt like 30 hours of yelling, clapping, and poorly choreographed dancing. After the tournament, she came over to my mom’s house where I had a bouquet of roses and a poster made in all glitter officially asking her to be my girlfriend. 1.21.2014 Our relationship continued where she worked too much, and I partied too hard almost all the way until we left for college. She finally realized she was too good for me and kicked my ass to the curb faster than a knife fight in a phone booth. Tragically, our high school relationship came to an end, and we both went our separate ways in college to truly find ourselves and evolve into successful young adults. Joelle continued to study too much, and I continued to party too hard lol. UNTIL, senior year, when we re-kindled our relationship at a business conference in New York City where we facilitated the merger of two multi-billion-dollar companies! Just kidding, we both swiped right on tinder…We continued to send gifs to each other for about a month before we ever spoke any real words, BUT I knew after the third Beyonce gif our love was real. I sent her a Borat “MY WIFE”. Next thing you know almost five years go by and we got a dog, bought a house, and are planning a wedding! Needless to say, you might be down but never out. True love will always find its way in this crazy world. Through countless obstacles and very unfavorable odds, our relationship has flourished into something truly beautiful that I wouldn’t trade for the world. P.S. - Joelle's Perspective - I agree with roughly 99.9% of this story. He swiped long before I did.
