If you have a car, we highly encourage a trip to the Rio Grande Gorge and the Taos Pueblos. Beautiful 1 hour drive each way from Santa Fe. Hop out, and hike the West Rim. If you're lucky, there just might be some great stuff for sale by local artists in the parking lot.
Taos Pueblo is the only living Native American community designated both a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and a National Historic Landmark. The multi-story adobe buildings have been continuously inhabited for over a 1,000 years. Please note: the Pueblo tours may be closed due to COVID-19. Please visit the website before booking. https://taospueblo.com/visiting-taos-pueblo/
Meow Wolf's House of Eternal Return is a mind-bending, explorable art experience for people of all ages in Santa Fe, NM. Judy thought it was weird. Turns out AJ hates art. Joelle thought it was spectacular. You'll probably want to buy tickets in advance: https://meowwolf.com/visit/santa-fe
The Santa Fe Plaza is a National Historic Landmark in downtown Santa Fe, New Mexico in the style of traditional Spanish-American colonial cities. The plaza was originally, and is still to this day, the center gathering place in town. Many know it as "the heart of Santa Fe", and it's a fun place to stroll -- keep your eyes peeled for pop-up shops in the alleys adjacent to the plaza.
Everyone's obsessed with this place. If you like burritos, you probably will be too. Very popular with tourists, reservations required for dinner. Pro tip: go for lunch instead. When asked if you want red or green chili, the only appropriate response is "CHRISTMAS"!
