We met as teenagers while working at the same place at the time. Joelle was 16 and Josh was 17, and although neither of us realized it then, that everyday job would end up changing our lives. From the very beginning, God was quietly writing a story we couldn’t yet see—one rooted in faith, timing, and His perfect plan. Not long after, a big group from work planned a trip to Silver Dollar City. At the start of the day, we ended up in different groups, passing time separately as the park buzzed around us. It wasn’t until dinner that our paths finally crossed. When our group offered to keep riding roller coasters, Josh’s group declined—except for one very determined friend who knew Josh liked Joelle and insisted he join us. As the night went on, one by one everyone else headed home until it was just the two of us. Standing in line for Powder Keg, Josh finally told Joelle how he felt, and we spent the rest of the night talking, laughing, and getting to know each other under the lights of the park. Even though someone else had offered Josh a ride home, Joelle insisted on taking him—and the conversation never stopped. From that night on, we kept talking, hanging out after work, and growing closer. With God at the center of our relationship, we learned what it means to love, support, and grow alongside one another in faith. Not long after, Josh asked Joelle to be his girlfriend—and more than four years later, on October 3rd, he asked another life-changing question. Now, we’re counting down the days until June 30th, 2026, and here we are, still choosing each other every day, trusting in the life God has planned for us, and forever grateful for that chance meeting that turned into a lifetime of love.
